Anyone who meets this friendly gentleman in everyday life would have trouble imagining the formidable power lurking within him. But Remy Bonjasky is a feared fighting machine. Clean, fair and technically skilled. But ruthless. This has earned him god-like status in Japan.

Remy Bonjasky is not a man you want coming after you. But this is exactly what happened in the streets of England when two lunatics were up to no good. Stationed in a van they were randomly shooting metal darts from a blowgun at passers-by. The last person they shot was Remy. He immediately grabbed a taxi and chased them down and helped the police arrest them. The men were sentenced to prison for a number of crimes.

Japan is wild about K-1. But not because they have produced a lot of winners; instead, they have hosted a total of seventeen K-1 Grand Prix championships so far. Dutch fighters have taken home the title fourteen times, and four of those belong to Remy.
